Spacious room with a large shower and great water pressure. Steep stairs made it hard to carry luggage.

The hotel is Next to Somerset nice restaurants and night life... The hotel self is so beautiful done you feel like home... The little touches inside the room really nice very helpful staff and the owner self lives in the first floor second and third is the rooms.... Reception closes at 8 in the evening but that's ok. Only bad thing it's the stairs it's lot to walk but he you go mornings out and return home maybe go out in the night so some stairs keep you fit. If I would go again to Amsterdam I take this hotel for sure

Staying for a couple of days, I really enjoyed the charming atmosphere of the place, especially with the owner’s unique cat companions greeting us upon arrival. The rooms are all individually decorated, which added character, and I appreciated having a fan in our room for the warm evenings. The bathroom was clean and well-kept, but be mindful that there are no elevators, and the nearby bars can lead to some noise late at night.

Location - Rembrant Square, lots of bars and restaurants nearby. I was quite worried as I heard it was really noisy at night, and that the hotel manager Peter was rude. Neither of these were true. Peter was pleasant and extremely helpful. The rooms are really big and very comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located near vibrant cafes and bars.
Unfortunately, the room lacked sufficient storage for clothes, a challenge . The stairs leading to the rooms were quite steep and posed difficulty when carrying luggage.

Hotel Imperial is more like a bed and breakfast (without the breakfast if you don't pay) than a hotel. For two people we had one room and a bathroom. The shower broke our first day but was fixed immediately by the staff. The staff (the family who lives there- it's a house made into a hotel) are all very friendly. Rembrandt place (where the hotel is located) is a highly underrated part of the city that has a big local nightlife, with many bars and an excellent club within a block of the hotel. You can walk to central station (the farthest point from the hotel) in about 30 minutes. Also, our favorite coffeeshop, Rokerij, was two blocks from the hotel as well as many others, restaurants, and a beautiful flower market that's about half a mile long. If you're on a budget I'd definitely would recommend this place.

I mostly like the location of the hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Also the rooms' style is very nice.
The hotel promises rooms to be ready at 8 am. It was not very good that our room was not ready until 13:00.

Amazing location and very spacious room. The shower was large with great water pressure, and the water stayed hot. Plus, the portable fan kept the room cool with windows open at night. Highly recommend!

Hotel is located in a very busy and central area, but don't let that scare you. Our room was beautiful, clean and silent. The hotel was wonderful. We did have our breakfasts outside as we were getting up late, but breakfast is also available for a small price there. Bathroom has a jacuzzi shower which was a nice surprise, overall impression very good.

Small hotel with perfect location near restaurants and trams. Clean, nice and charming. Would definitely like to stay there again.
Very steep stairs and no elevator which might be a problem for elderly people.

Noise from nearby nightlife could disrupt sleep, and occasional issues like non-working lamps and peeling wallpaper suggested some maintenance is needed.

The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot - we walked everywhere! Our room was very clean and comfortable and we found the staff extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Remember to bring earplugs, as the noise from the nearby bars goes on until the early hours of the morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location at the eastern canals with sightseeing and shop streets in 10-minutes walk, friendly staff, pretty quiet, clean and spacious room (we had a view on the inner yard, which is nice), lovely antique furniture. Breakfast is quite simple, but good for its price (comparing to nearby cafees).
The shower cabin is small, suitable only for one person, and water pressure is too weak. There was no mini-bar or fridge in the room. The stairs will be a trial for old or disabled people.
